Dr. Abeer Abd-Elhameed Alm-Eldeen is a professor of Vertebrate Comparative Anatomy, Department of Zoology, Faculty of Science, Tanta University, Egypt. She received a doctorate in 2001 after spending two years as a visiting researcher at Niigata University School of Medicine, Japan. She is a full professor since 2012. She is the author of more than 30 scientific papers published in local and international peer-reviewed journals. She is currently supervising more than 15 master and Ph.D. students. From 2011, she started to collaborate with the Chinese Academy of Science in several research proposals.
She is also an international certified trainer and HRD consultant since 2008. She conducted several train-the-trainer programs. since 2010, She has been the first director of the training unit at the faculty of science, Tanta University. Therefore, she was and still responsible for establishing the cycle of doing training needs assessment, training design, training implementation then evaluation. In 2012, she was the founder of the HRD unit at the Faculty of Science, Tanta University and now she is the director. In 2013, she received an innovation award in teaching and learning from the Ministry of Higher Education in Egypt for the successfully using active learning in teaching. She got three competitive funded projects in 2012, 2014 and 2015 from the Ministry of Higher Education to enhance the professional development of the students using the active learning techniques, especially in the fields of lab safety and research ethics. In 2015 and 2016, she acts as a facilitator of two Egyptian institutes about “Responsible science” that was held and organized by US National academy of science.
